I have been working on this project for a little while. Themed around Aaron Gwin’s 2012 World Cup Champion Trek Session 9.9.
My frame was starting to look a little tired and old, but rather than replacing it. Why not respray and build something new, after all the frame is hand made carbon by Trek. To say we are pleased with the results would be an understatement.
Today Peak District MTB, Keeper of the Peak and Ride Sheffield launched Cut Gate Conversations. To be blunt, I think this is brilliant. Cut gate is the jewel in the Peak District trail offering, we mountain bikers are leading the call for its protection and preservation. Being on the front foot, speaking with other users to see what can be done.
Mountain biking advocacy in the UK has historically been miles behind representation from other trail users, we are after all a very young sport.
Written by people who have seen what was happening and decided to do something about it.

We’ve spent years descending the Hope Cross bridleway (aka The Beast) in the Peak District. Now we try climbing it on electric mountain bikes
Today’s bike adventure fueled by the excellent @cafe_adventure_hope. We pitted @trekbikes against @haibike_official up and down Hope Cross aka “The Beast”. These bikes are a serious bits of kit. Climbing the trail, something I would have not considered possible before.
An introduction into what we offer featuring a number of local trails.
