We are excited to announce that the Bike Garage has been named the no.1 bike hire in Peak District by TripAdvisor travel site! It is fair to say we are pretty chuffed with this achievement. Since we started in 2010 we have steadily grown our hire fleet from 11 bikes too now around 30 include full suspension and Electric Bikes. We have always tried to provide a high-quality bike and advice on routes.
I will be closed from 20th of December until the 8th of January. I am a one-man band and take a couple of weeks off over the festive period. If you would like to know our current workshop availability email me. We will be going for a ride on Wednesday 20th of December from Cafe Adventure in hope, all are welcome. On Saturday we celebrated Cafe Adventure’s second birthday with a summer ride. Full image gallery is on our facebook page.
I have been working on this project for a little while. Themed around Aaron Gwin’s 2012 World Cup Champion Trek Session 9.9.
My frame was starting to look a little tired and old, but rather than replacing it. Why not respray and build something new, after all the frame is hand made carbon by Trek. To say we are pleased with the results would be an understatement.
Today Peak District MTB, Keeper of the Peak and Ride Sheffield launched Cut Gate Conversations. To be blunt, I think this is brilliant. Cut gate is the jewel in the Peak District trail offering, we mountain bikers are leading the call for its protection and preservation. Being on the front foot, speaking with other users to see what can be done.
As some of you may remember I closed the shop in August 2016 for 2 weeks whilst I was away on holiday. I used the time off to tick off something on my to-do list. Visit Canada more specifically Whistler and the world renowned bike park.
Whistler Mountain Bike Park, featuring a selection of trails from our two week trip there this summer Trails include Top of the world, Ride Dont Slide, Original Sin, Freight Train, Duffman and Lower Whilster Downhill.
I will be open until and including Wednesday 22/12/16. Then closed until Tuesday 3/01/17, reopening at 9.30 am.
We’ve spent years descending the Hope Cross bridleway (aka The Beast) in the Peak District. Now we try climbing it on electric mountain bikes
Today’s bike adventure fueled by the excellent @cafe_adventure_hope. We pitted @trekbikes against @haibike_official up and down Hope Cross aka “The Beast”. These bikes are a serious bits of kit. Climbing the trail, something I would have not considered possible before.
An introduction into what we offer featuring a number of local trails.
